Frequently asked questions.

FAQ YEAH!
What is the ride etiquette?
The people in front of you, next to you, and behind you are our best friends and/or family. We want to make sure we all stay safe and friendly. The easiest way to say your sorry is to not do anything you might feel sorry for later (thus eliminating the need for apologies). Play it cool and don’t make no fast moves (double negative, but it sounds better). Keep your eyes up, stay focused, and stay relaxed.
What defines your vibe?
This is corny (we know), but we live (or die trying) by the P.I.E.
P - Positivity,
I - Inclusivity, You + Me + Them = Us
E - Equality, No one person is greater than the other
What are the normal pace of your rides?
We aim for mostly-chill / no-kill rides. We like talking… to each other (especially about everything), so our method of operation is to keep at conversation pace. There will be times where a couple of good people will attack off the front, and that’s their priority; don’t feel the need to follow their pace, they will likely suffer later for their efforts. Continue at the pace in which you feel comfortable and we’ll regroup in a few minutes. It’s recommended that you transfer the ride-map from our strava page (link) to your bike computer if you aren’t already familiar with the route.
What if I’m not yet comfortable in a group?
Take a deep breath and relax, we’ll get you there. None of us were born fast or even comfortable on a bike. If you ever have any questions about how to conduct yourself, feel free to ask the person next to you.
Are your rides no-drop?
Some are and some aren’t, but 100% of them mostly are. There will generally be a regroup and it’s always a good idea to have a map (see above).
Who is the ride leader?
Good question, really.
Are there rides every day?
We like riding… a lot.
How often are new kits available?
We do 2 kit drops per year. Roughly, we’ll have an order for early spring (San Diego) and get some winterish type product going later in the year for when it’s cooler and it’s not as hot.
Does PPBC have events?
We do, and you’re always on our VIP list (of course).
How many Casey’s are there?
A few… a couple in San Diego and one in Utah and maybe one or two others lurking in the gothy shadows. It gets confusing sometimes, but like we said earlier… sssstaaaayyyy focussssed!
